Des Moines Iowa SR22
Reader question:
Can you describe to me the type of coverage to include on my policy for Des Moines Iowa SR22 insurance?
Lucy
Glad you asked, Lucy.
As the owner of a policy for Des Moines Iowa SR22 insurance, you will first and foremost need to add on the auto insurance coverage which is required by state insurance law. That insurance is the coverage for property damage and injury liability. It is normally a small amount, but if you want the best protection, you should speak with an auto insurance agent about what level of liability coverage would work the best for your wallet, both present and future.
If you are currently making monthly payments on a brand new or a used car, then your contract probably has something in it saying that you need to have comprehensive and collision insurance. This is why you had to show proof of insurance before you were allowed to drive your new (or used) car off of the lot.

Sioux City Iowa SR22
Reader question:
I am considering whether or not to make a claim with my Sioux City Iowa SR22 policy. You see, I was in a small car accident the other day. It wasn’t my fault, but the other driver was uninsured. It was only a small dent that he put in the car. He said he will pay me to repair the dent, but I told him that I wasn’t sure and that I would think about it. I got his driver’s license number, name, phone number, and license plate number. Should I file a claim with my company or should I allow him to pay me for the accident?
July
Great question, July.
This is a situation that a lot of Sioux City Iowa SR22 policy holders fall for. And, you know, in many cases the people who are offering the money to fix the damages are sincere and really aren’t trying to trick you. But the problem is that even if they are just well intentioned but irresponsible drivers, accepting money in cash from a stranger for a car accident and failing to report it to your car insurance company can have serious consequences.
The main one is that damages and injuries are often not what they appear to be in the most immediate sense. Maybe you feel just fine, but later that night you begin to feel back pain. Maybe your car is running good for the first hour, but you begin to hear an unusual noise…basically, unless the person who crashed into your car is BOTH a doctor AND a mechanic AND an insurance adjustor, you have a very high chance of getting away with the short end of the stick.

Davenport Iowa SR22
Reader question:
I am told that if I intend to drive again anytime soon, I will have to get a Davenport Iowa SR22 insurance policy. Well, I’ve never had insurance, because I’ve never owned a car, so this is kind of weird for me. Don’t you need a car to get insurance? I drive for work, although I take the bus to get to work, which is why I need my license.
Berry
Thanks for asking, Berry.
I get that it can be confusing for someone who has never owned a Davenport Iowa SR22 policy, or really, any kind of auto insurance policy before, but it’s really pretty straightforward. While in most cases, it is indeed the person who owns a car who buys the auto insurance, SR22 is a particular circumstance. You see, your license has been suspended for irresponsible driving behavior, and so they expect you to be irresponsible again. They can’t just let you out on the street on the word that you’ll be a good boy and only drive cars that are insured. They can’t trust this, and so Davenport Iowa SR22 for non owner drivers were born.
It’s pretty simple. Since you drive for work, your boss should already have an insurance policy on the car, which means that for your non owner policy all you will need to get is the very minimum liability. It is already an expensive policy, so this will help you save money you don’t want to spend.

Cedar Rapids Iowa SR22
Reader question:
How long will it take after I am done with my Cedar Rapids Iowa SR22 for me to get to a point where I can get good driver rates?
Becky
Excellent question, Becky.
In almost every case, you will carry your Cedar Rapids Iowa SR22 coverage for around three years, possibly a little more if you put it off. Similarly, most car insurance companies have a good driver discount which requires that you have a clean driving record for a period of–you guessed it–three years if you want to get the discount it comes with. So what exactly should you be doing while you are covered by an SR22 policy? Definitely not driving drunk, running red lights, or driving over the speed limit. Here you have your chance to show your stuff and claim back to the place you were previously at.
Now, granted, some companies that sell Cedar Rapids Iowa SR22 insurance won’t count the three years of your SR22 coverage when considering it for your good driver discount, so you may have to wait longer than that. Even better, though, you should try and ask ahead of time before you get on board with the company.

Waterloo Iowa SR22
Reader question:
I have been paying a lot for Waterloo Iowa SR22, but the other day my sister in law mentioned that I should add rental car insurance to my policy. On one hand, I don’t want to pay more than I already am. On the other hand, she presented it very well and favorably. Any advice?
Marian
Thanks for asking, Marian.
Your sister in law had a point about adding rental car coverage to your Waterloo Iowa SR22 insurance coverage. I’ll explain to you the benefits. First of all, it costs at least $20-50 to rent a car for one day, if not more, depending on what rental car place you go to. And of course you have to pay for the gas. On the other hand, if you get rental car coverage on your Waterloo Iowa SR22 insurance policy, then essentially you are going to spend less in AN ENTIRE YEAR of rental car coverage than you would spend in ONE SINGLE DAY of renting the cheapest rental car.
You can see the positive points, here, I’m going to assume. There are other types of similar coverage which are very cheap and which can get you out of a tight spot that otherwise might costs you quite a bit. Roadside assistance is also only a few dollars a month to your Waterloo Iowa SR22 premium, whereas a towing normally costs at least $80, but much more depending on the distance.

Ames SR22
Q: I have a teenager who I need to add to my Ames SR22 policy. Is there any way I can avoid doing this if she doesn’t drive, or do it cheaply?
A: It’s reasonable to want to avoid paying the ridiculously high Ames SR22 car insurance prices which companies levy against teenagers, but unfortunately it is unavoidable unless you want to face some bad consequences. You are required to put every driver in your household (which includes relatives by blood, adoption, or marriage) on your car insurance policy, and so if someone in your house who is related to you has a license but isn’t on your policy, then you could have your policy cancelled. If your teen gets into a car accident and her name isn’t on your policy, you could be in deep financial and/or medical trouble because your company may deny your policy.
One way for you to save around ten percent on your Ames SR22 policy and also help your teenager to accustom herself better to the rules and dangers of the road is to enroll her in a course for defensive driving. Such a course is really helpful for teens, whose leading cause of death is car accidents. You can get a list of qualifying courses from your car insurance company.
